We are Survivor Network Ethiopia. A pioneering Non Governmental Organization dedicated to strengthening the lives of Conflict Survivors and Persons with Disabilities in Ethiopia.
Survivor Lemma Belayneh stands outside the temporary offices of his Social Support Group's newly created Cooperative in Addis Ababa. August 21st, 2008. Since February of 2001, our organization has been working to build a better world for survivors through a holistic approach that incorporates 3 fundamental programs: health and rehabilitation, economic opportunities and social empowerment. To date we have registered over 1,990 conflict survivors and persons with disabilities in our programs and we are consistently researching potential areas of expansion within Ethiopia. Currently, our Social Support Groups and Survivor Associations are present in 10 of the 11 sub cities of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia's capital city.
